Sibusiso Caroline Sibanda, the wife of ZANU PF aspiring Member of Parliament for Gwanda North, Lungisani Twominutes Ncube, has emerged as a beacon of hope and generosity in the constituency. Demonstrating a heartfelt commitment to education and community upliftment, Sibanda recently made significant donations to various schools across Gwanda North during their prize-giving ceremonies, leaving a lasting impact on students, teachers, and the community.

At Lushongwe Primary School in Ward 9, Sibanda provided school prizes, prize money for the entertainment group, 80 kilograms of meat, groceries, and 25 crates of drinks. Sibhula Primary School in Ward 8 received 60 kilograms of meat, groceries for the event, a PA system, and prizes for outstanding pupils. Mtshabezi Primary School in Ward 4 was gifted 100 kilograms of meat and full groceries for their event.

The philanthropic spirit extended to Mtandawenhema Primary School in Ward 5, which received 80 kilograms of meat, groceries, and 700 liters of water. Sabiwa Primary School in Ward 5 was also among the beneficiaries, receiving 100 kilograms of meat and groceries. Shake Primary School in Ward 4 received groceries and 25 crates of drinks, while Mapane Primary School in Ward 7, Tshoboyi Primary School in Ward 9, and Connemara Primary School in Ward 9 all received meat, drinks, and groceries, along with prizes at Mapane Primary.

Sibanda’s efforts are inspired by the philanthropic work of Zimbabwe’s First Lady Auxillia Mnangagwa, known for her tireless dedication to assisting the less fortunate. Like the First Lady, Sibanda has become a champion for her community, focusing on improving education and enhancing the quality of life for residents of Gwanda North.

Her husband, Lungisani Ncube, is equally dedicated to uplifting the constituency. In response to the challenges faced by former workers of Vumbachikwe Mine following its closure, Ncube provided a critical lifeline by donating two truckloads of maize meal, amounting to 60 tonnes, to support affected families.

Ncube’s commitment to education is evident in his ongoing efforts to address the long distances students in Wililisa had to travel to attend secondary school. Recognizing the urgent need, he initiated the construction of a new secondary school in the area, funding the project with 700 bags of cement. He also drilled a borehole to ensure a reliable water supply for the construction site and future students and fenced the premises for added security.

In addition to these projects, Ncube has drilled boreholes for Sizeze Primary and Nkadhe Secondary Schools, ensuring consistent access to clean water for students and staff. At Mzimuni Secondary School, he donated chairs and desks, creating a conducive learning environment for students.

The couple’s combined efforts demonstrate their unwavering commitment to improving the lives of Gwanda North residents. By prioritizing education, infrastructure, and community welfare, they are ensuring that the constituency thrives and its citizens enjoy a dignified and fulfilling life.

Sibanda and Ncube have positioned themselves as true champions of their community, embodying the spirit of service and compassion that is vital for the development of Gwanda North. Their actions reflect a vision of a united and prosperous Zimbabwe, where every citizen has the opportunity to succeed.
