The Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) in Bulawayo has embarked on a mission to reorganise and strengthen its party structures, as evidenced by a high-level Provincial Council meeting attended by representatives from all 12 districts. The gathering brought together key party officials, including Acting National Organising Secretary Senator Collet Ndlovu, Ilos Nyoni, Hon. Decent C. Bajila, Hon. Rita Ndlovu, Hon. Tendayi Nyathi, Hon. Minenhle Gumede, Senator Lilian Mlilo, James Sithole, Hon. Prince Dube, Hon. Sikhululekile Moyo, Sikhumbuzo Mpofu, and Oscar Ncube.

Discussions at the meeting centred on revamping the party’s structures, reinforcing grassroots mobilisation, and ensuring organisational efficiency. Reports from the Main, Women, and Youth wings highlighted efforts to restore internal cohesion, with a strong emphasis on adherence to the party constitution and democratic principles. The meeting was hailed as a crucial step towards strengthening CCC’s presence in Bulawayo and ensuring effective leadership at all levels.

A major decision reached was the endorsement of the expulsion of Sengezo Tshabangu following disciplinary proceedings. Tshabangu, previously accused of working against the party’s interests, faced allegations of facilitating the recall of CCC MPs and councillors. His removal signals the party’s intent to safeguard its structures from internal destabilisation.

The Provincial Council Meeting underscored the CCC’s commitment to restructuring and fortifying its political machinery ahead of upcoming electoral challenges. With renewed focus on grassroots engagement and party unity, the leadership seeks to position CCC as a formidable force in Zimbabwe.
