BREAKING: Mnangagwa declares 9 December as by-election date for Bulawayo recalled MPs

President Emmerson Mnangagwa has announced the official dates for the nomination court and subsequent by-elections to fill the vacant parliamentary seats created by the  recall  opposition CCC (Citizens Coalition for Change) legislators by the Interim Secretary-General, Sengezo Tshabangu. The by-elections are scheduled for 9 December 2023, with the nomination court set to convene on 7 November 2023.

The upcoming by-elections are anticipated to be closely watched by both domestic and international observers, given the political significance surrounding them. They will provide a glimpse into the political landscape of Zimbabwe and may indicate the level of support for the CCC and its leader, Nelson Chamisa.
